Amazon Egypt Employee Engagement: 3,830 Packs Across Rotating Shifts
Three themed food activations delivered in repeated waves for Amazon Egypt’s rotating workforce — combining four-figure daily production, individual packaging and overnight dispatch.

- CLIENT / AGENCY: AMAZON EGYPT / THE MARKETER
- TOTAL VOLUME: 3,830 PACKED SERVINGS
- FORMAT: DELIVERY-ONLY / SHIFT WAVES
This was a production-and-logistics job before it was an event job
Amazon Egypt’s event agency, The Marketer, appointed LOriental to develop and deliver three themed employee-food activations in late 2025. The format was deliberately different from conventional event catering: no buffet, no single guest-arrival window and no front-of-house service. The brief was delivery-only, ready-to-eat food packed individually and dispatched in repeated waves to New Cairo.
That changed the operating problem completely. Instead of planning around one service moment, LOriental had to coordinate production, counting, packing and delivery against a workforce moving through day, late and overnight shifts.
3,830 packs across three activation days
The confirmed order totalled 3,830 individually packed servings. The activation days were separate — 20 November, 24 November and 1 December 2025 — and each required a four-figure production run.
20 November — 1,365 individually packed servings.
24 November — 1,255 individually packed servings.
1 December — 1,210 individually packed servings.
The quantities mattered because each activation was split across Amazon’s customer-service shifts, with separate distribution windows through the day and overnight. Each wave had to leave production with the exact quantity allocated to that shift and reach the site at the agreed time.
Overnight shifts changed the production rhythm
Several waves required LOriental to work through overnight operating periods. Production, packing, counting and dispatch had to stay synchronized so each batch reached the site ready for immediate distribution.
At this scale, small counting or timing errors multiply quickly. LOriental maintained its own pack counts for every wave, and each delivery was signed off against the recorded quantity on the delivery sheet. Amazon distributed the packs to employees against coupons, so a quantity error in any wave would leave the distribution out of balance. The last overnight shift still had to receive a pack that looked and felt as deliberate as the first delivery of the day.
Each theme still needed a food idea that could scale
The Marketer built a different concept around each activation day. LOriental’s task was to translate those themes into food that remained practical at four-figure volume.
Ancient Egypt — 1,365 individually packed date-and-almond power bars.
Masr Zaman — 1,255 breakfast boxes with croissant, Danish pastry and fresh juice.
Space — 1,210 three-mini-burger skewers arranged as a 'rocket burger'.
The Space activation shows the principle clearly. The food idea was visually tied to the theme, but it was still simple enough to assemble, pack, count and distribute more than 1,200 times in one activation day.
Shift-based catering needs a divisible food system
A rotating workforce does not behave like a conference audience or wedding guest list. People do not all stop at the same time, and one buffet opening cannot serve the whole operation.
The food therefore had to be divisible into accurate batches, stable enough for repeated dispatch windows and fast to distribute once it reached the site. For LOriental, the engagement became a practical test of overnight staffing, production planning, individual packaging and count accuracy at a scale above 1,200 packs per activation day.
The agency relationship kept the scope precise
The Marketer was the commissioning agency and the link between Amazon and LOriental. The wider activation included employee-engagement programming beyond catering.
LOriental’s role stayed focused: translate each daily concept into a workable food idea, produce it at high volume, package it consistently and deliver it to the agreed shift schedule.
What this case proves
The Amazon engagement broadens LOriental’s corporate portfolio beyond receptions, launches and boardroom hospitality. It shows a different operating capability: high-volume packaged food production designed around a multinational workplace rather than a conventional event floor.
The strongest evidence is operational — 3,830 packed servings, four-figure daily production, repeated delivery waves and overnight execution — while still retaining enough creative flexibility to make each activation feel specific to its theme.
