ABB Egypt: Corporate Hospitality from Employee Events to Large-Scale Buffets
A recurring relationship spanning employee engagement, VIP plant hospitality, boardroom catering and large-scale buffet events at ABB’s New Cairo headquarters and 10th of Ramadan manufacturing site.
- RELATIONSHIP: 2024–2026
- FIRST EVENT: 200 GUESTS
- VIP PLANT VISIT: 50 GUESTS
- BOARDROOM: 20 GUESTS
- EMPLOYEE BUFFETS: 240–250 GUESTS
The first assignment: employee engagement
LOriental's first ABB engagement was an employee-motivation event in New Cairo in April 2024 for approximately 200 guests. The brief combined catering, beverage service and live food stations, including a burger station.
The event was well received and created the basis for a repeat relationship. ABB returned the following year with a very different requirement: a small VIP hospitality assignment at its 10th of Ramadan manufacturing plant.
The 10th of Ramadan VIP Visit
In May 2025, LOriental catered a VIP visit at ABB's 10th of Ramadan plant for approximately 50 guests. Instead of using a conventional buffet, the team created a premium grazing table built heavily around luxury canapés, smoked salmon, shrimp and refined bite-size presentations.
The format suited the audience and setting: visually rich enough for senior visitors, easy to circulate around, and compact enough to operate inside a working industrial environment.
- Premium grazing-table architecture
- Luxury canapé-heavy presentation
- Smoked-salmon and shrimp-led selections
- Designed for a small VIP delegation rather than mass service
- Delivered inside ABB's 10th of Ramadan manufacturing environment
Boardroom catering followed
One week later, ABB booked LOriental again for a 20-person board meeting at its New Cairo headquarters. The shift from a factory VIP visit to a boardroom assignment demonstrated that ABB was beginning to use LOriental across different levels of corporate hospitality rather than for a single event format.
The relationship moved beyond individual events
By late 2025 and early 2026, the relationship expanded into large employee-buffet events at ABB’s New Cairo headquarters.
LOriental delivered three buffet engagements for approximately 240 to 250 employees, extending the relationship into high-volume corporate catering.
Employee buffet events
- January 2026 — approximately 240 employees
- 1 February 2026 — 250-person open buffet at ABB's New Cairo premises
- 27 April 2026 — another 250-person employee-focused catering engagement at ABB HQ
These events extended ABB’s use of LOriental into large-scale employee catering at headquarters.
A different service model for each brief
Each ABB brief asked LOriental to behave differently. The first employee event needed energy and live stations. The plant visit required polished VIP grazing. The board meeting called for compact executive service. The later headquarters buffets brought LOriental’s premium event standards into repeatable, high-volume employee catering.
Two ABB environments, two operating contexts
ABB operates major corporate and manufacturing facilities in Egypt, including its New Cairo office and 10th of Ramadan factories. Working across both environments gave LOriental experience with the different service expectations of an office headquarters and an active industrial site.
For the plant visit, presentation and access discipline mattered. For headquarters buffets, throughput, consistency and employee acceptance became the main operating priorities.
A relationship built through expanding briefs
The relationship progressed from one employee event into repeat VIP, boardroom and large-format corporate work. Across the series, ABB expanded the settings, audience types and service demands entrusted to LOriental.
