From generous open buffets to formal plated dinners, family-style service and mixed formats, LOriental builds the menu, service and presentation around your event, venue and guest count.

Catering Open Buffet & Seated Dining

Open buffet, plated dining or something in between.

Choose from complete buffet menus, build your own menu à la carte, or create a seated dining experience around your event, venue and guests.

LOriental Moments is a full-service experiential caterer in Egypt, best known for our specialization in finger food and canapés. Beyond our signature canapé offering, we provide complete event catering across open buffets, main-course dining, seated menus, live culinary stations, desserts, and non-alcoholic live bar and mixology.

Start with the dining format that fits the occasion, then build the menu, service and presentation around it. Add live culinary stations, table-side service, Experiential Passaround before dinner, bespoke décor, beverages, desserts or LOriental’s highest-end theatrical presentation where the event calls for it.

Open Buffet or Seated Dining?

Start with the experience, then build the menu.

You do not need to begin by choosing individual dishes. The more useful first question is how you want your guests to experience the meal.

Choose an Open Buffet When ...

You want variety, guest choice and a more relaxed dining rhythm. Open buffet works particularly well for weddings, large private celebrations and mixed guest groups where different tastes and appetites need to be accommodated at the same time.

Choose Plated Seated Dining When ...

Timing, formality and individual presentation matter more. Seated dining is a strong fit for executive dinners, diplomatic functions, formal weddings and occasions where the meal itself is a central part of the event.

Choose Family-Style Dining When ...

You want guests to remain seated while keeping the meal generous and social. Selected mains and sides can be shared at the table, creating a warmer and more conversational service rhythm.

Combine Formats When ...

One service style does not suit the entire event. A wedding can begin with passed canapés, move into seated starters, continue with shared mains and finish with a live dessert experience. A corporate dinner can combine plated courses with one table-side live service moment.

Beyond Our Signature Canapés

Finger food and canapés are our specialty. Full-service catering is what we do.

Our specialization in finger food and canapés sits inside a much broader catering operation. The same team can take an event from reception canapés through main-course dining, live culinary experiences, desserts and beverages.

Our kitchen covers poultry, beef and seafood alongside salads, starters, pasta, rice dishes, substantial sides and desserts. Representative dishes include Beef Bourguignon, Moroccan Beef Tagine, Butter Chicken, Sea Bass with Lemon Beurre Blanc, Seafood Paella, Mushroom & Truffle Ravioli, Muammar Rice with Duck and Potato Gratin Dauphinois.

Many dishes can move between buffet presentation and individually plated seated service, which gives us room to build very different event formats from the same wider culinary collection.

Open Buffet Catering

Choose a complete experience or build your own.

Choose a Ready-Designed Buffet Menu

Start with one of our established buffet experiences. The current collection includes Dînatoire, Signature and Grand Buffet Experiences, combining canapés, starters, salads, primi dishes, main courses, sides, desserts and beverages into complete event menus.

Each format gives the meal a balanced progression while still leaving room for customization.

Build Your Own À La Carte Buffet

For complete flexibility, choose your own combination of salads, starters, poultry, beef, seafood, pasta, rice dishes, sides and desserts from the wider LOriental collection.

The result can be familiar and generous, contemporary and international, or more refined depending on the occasion.

Add Live Culinary Experiences

Let part of the meal happen in front of your guests.

A buffet does not have to be entirely static. Selected dishes can be prepared, finished, carved or served live, adding movement, aroma and interaction to the dining experience.

Pasta Viva and Risotto Rêverie bring live finishing into the meal. Live Paella turns cooking into a visible centerpiece. Brazilian Churrascaria adds carving and continuous protein service. Oriental Fiteer brings regional live preparation into the room. Lobster & Shrimp Live Grill creates a more premium seafood focal point.

Choose one station to create a clear moment or combine several when live preparation should become a larger part of the event.

Seated Dining

For events that call for greater formality and control.

For elegant weddings, embassy functions, executive dinners, formal corporate hospitality and private celebrations, seated service creates a more composed dining experience. Courses can be timed, plated and presented individually, allowing the meal to unfold with greater precision.

Begin with one of our established seated set menus or develop a bespoke menu from the wider LOriental collection.

Choose Your Style of Seated Service

Plated Multi-Course Dining
A classic progression of individually plated courses served to each guest. Build the experience around starters, salads or soups, primi courses, main courses and desserts selected for seated presentation.

Family-Style Dining
Selected dishes are presented on elegant shared platters at the table. Guests remain seated, but the meal feels warmer, more generous and more social.

A Combination of Both
A dinner can begin with plated courses, move into shared mains and sides, then finish with a plated dessert or live sweet service. Formal does not have to mean rigid.

Before Dinner: Canapés & Passaround

The dining experience can begin before anyone sits down.

Open buffet and seated dining can be preceded by a canapé reception. Choose a simple canapé display, premium Experiential Passaround for polished circulating service, or Theatrical Passaround when you want the arrival of the food itself to become a visible moment in the event.

For weddings, diplomatic receptions and corporate hospitality, this creates a cleaner transition from guest arrival into the main meal and gives the reception its own rhythm.

Bring Live Service to the Table

Keep guests seated. Bring the experience to them.

Selected live culinary experiences can be incorporated into formal seated dining. Pasta Viva and Risotto Rêverie, for example, can be configured for seated service, while mobile food carts can move between tables for a more interactive form of table-side service.

This allows live preparation and presentation to become part of the meal without disrupting the elegance of the dinner.

Presentation Is Part of the Menu

The buffet should belong to the event.

A strong food display should feel designed for its surroundings. LOriental Moments approaches buffet presentation as part of the event environment, with mise en scène, staging, décor and food presentation considered together.

Our catering service incorporates buffet mise en scène, essential décor and trim props, staging areas and presentation according to LOriental standards. Additional customization can extend into richer décor, special effects and themed presentation.

Weddings & Private Celebrations
The buffet or dining environment can be developed around the colors, materials, florals and visual direction of the event so the food presentation feels integrated into the space.

Corporate Events
Presentation can be adapted around the company’s identity, including brand colors, visual language, event theme and selected branded elements.

Theatrical Presentation
For events that need greater visual impact, the dining environment can extend into LOriental’s Theatrical Hospitality approach. Sculptural presentation pieces, illumination, special effects, mobile presentation and choreographed service can be introduced selectively around the buffet, reception or table-side experience.

Designed for Different Events

The format should follow the occasion.

Weddings & Marriage Celebrations

A wedding may begin with Experiential Passaround, move into a Signature or Grand Buffet, add Pasta Viva, Risotto Rêverie, Tenderloin Full Roast or Lobster & Shrimp Live Grill, then finish with passed sweets or a live dessert experience.

For a more formal celebration, the same evening can move into plated or family-style seated dining, with theatrical presentation reserved for one or two moments where it actually adds something. The Events plan specifically treats weddings as a sequence from arrival and ceremony through dinner, dessert and the late evening.

Corporate & Business Events

Corporate dining at LOriental can look completely different depending on the objective. A company celebration may need several buffet and live-station points to handle volume. A conference lunch may need a fast, controlled buffet that gets delegates back into the room. An executive dinner may call for a shorter seated menu, restrained table-side service and a more discreet operating footprint. A gala may need courses timed around stage cues and awards.

The menu can also carry the company identity through selected branded presentation, drink styling and theatrical elements where the brief calls for them.

Private & Social Celebrations

For birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings and celebrations at home, the format can be built around the way people will actually spend the evening.

That may mean a compact seated dinner, a generous buffet, family-style mains, or a mixed format with passed food followed by live stations and dessert. LOriental’s wider collection gives us room to move from familiar crowd-pleasers into more distinctive elements such as Vine Leaf Sushi, Brazilian Churrascaria, Oriental Fiteer, Om Ali Oasis or Mille-Feuille Royale without forcing the whole event into one style. The Events hub intentionally keeps this category broad because the right format depends heavily on the space and guest behaviour.

Diplomatic & Governmental Events

For embassy receptions, national celebrations, official dinners and governmental functions, we usually dial the presentation in more carefully.

A hosted dinner may use seated dining or a refined buffet with a clear service sequence. Menus can combine Egyptian and Middle Eastern hospitality with international dishes for mixed delegations, while Arabian coffee and dates, live karak, regional stations or selected Egyptian desserts can be introduced where they suit the host and occasion.

LOriental’s role here is as much about timing, discretion and service control as it is about the food.

Arts, Culture & Entertainment

For museum receptions, cultural programmes, premieres and performance-led events, the catering should belong to the programme.

A cultural dinner might use an Egyptian-led buffet with Oriental Fiteer, Egyptian Street Food and regional desserts. An arts gala may move from passed canapés into seated dining. A concert may need VIP hospitality before the show, backstage service during it and buffet or live stations only once the performance window has passed.

This is also where LOriental’s Experiential Passaround and Theatrical Hospitality can be useful, provided they support the setting instead of competing with it.

Expos & Trade Events

Trade events need a different kind of discipline. Food has to serve quickly, replenish cleanly and stay inside a compact footprint.

For hosted lounges, that may mean a controlled buffet or seated hospitality area. For larger brand activations, the format can expand into live stations, branded presentation or a more substantial meal, provided the stand layout, organiser rules and visitor flow can support it.

The Events architecture specifically treats expo hospitality around compact food, continuous replenishment and keeping service out of the visitor path.

Complete the Experience

Beverages

Pair the meal with LOriental’s non-alcoholic beverage service. The collection includes non-alcoholic cocktails, seasonal fresh juices, tea, coffee, live karak, specialty drinks, welcome service and table-side beverage service. Premium formats can include live mixology and customized bar décor.

Desserts

Finish with classic buffet desserts, plated sweets or an interactive live dessert experience. Current options include Cannoli, Churros, Crêpe & Waffle, Mille-Feuille Royale, Om Ali Oasis, Tiramisu Experience, Fiteer Meshaltet and Zalabia & Balah El Sham.

Full-Service Catering. Never Food Delivery.

LOriental Moments is exclusively a full-service caterer. We do not offer food delivery, drop-off catering or trays of prepared food delivered without service.

Every event is delivered as a complete on-site catering operation. Depending on the event, our team can manage food preparation, transportation, staging and back-of-house areas, buffet mise en scène, décor, trained service teams, real-time preparation, presentation and complete on-site execution.

The same standard applies whether we are serving a canapé or a main course. Food quality, presentation, timing, service and guest experience are treated as parts of one operation.

Plan Your Dining Experience

Start with the kind of event you want to create.

Tell us the event date, event type, venue or area and expected guest count. You do not need to have every menu decision made before contacting us.

Choose an open buffet from one of our established menus or build your own à la carte selection. For a more formal experience, choose a seated dinner from one of our set menus or create your own plated, family-style or mixed format.

Then decide how far you want to take it: reception canapés, Experiential Passaround, Theatrical Catering, live culinary stations, mobile table-side service, event décor, desserts and non-alcoholic beverage service can all be added where they improve the event.

For larger or more customized events, tasting visits are available by appointment at our Office Lounge in New Cairo, subject to availability.

Why LOriental Moments?

Finger Food Specialists. Full-Service Caterers.

LOriental Moments is best known for its extensive canapé and finger-food collection, but our catering operation goes much further. We deliver complete event catering across open buffets, main-course dining, seated menus, live culinary stations, desserts, and non-alcoholic live bar and mixology.

Open Buffet, Seated Menus or Your Own Combo

The dining format is built around the event rather than forced into one model. Many dishes can be presented on an open buffet, plated individually for seated service, served family-style or combined across different stages of the same event.

Live Culinary Experiences & Presentation

Interactive cooking, carving, finishing and table-side service can be added throughout the event. Presentation can range from refined buffet mise en scène and Experiential Passaround to live stations, event-specific décor and selected theatrical presentation.
